There will be a cleanup at the Kemp graveyard in Maxatawny township on Sunday, Oct 29, 2023, beginning at 9 AM. It is headed by the Kemp descendant organization that is working to preserve this graveyard. The cleanup is to prepare the graveyard for tombstone repair and straightening to be performed by Robert Mosko, one of the experts in the field. He offered his services at minimal cost to Lara Thomas, secretary of the Berks County Association for Graveyard Preservation. BCAGP will be supporting this cleanup.

Directions: Take Route 222 north toward Allentown and onto the bypass around Kutztown. When the bypass ends east of Kutztown, take the first left turn (about 1 block after the end of the bypass) onto Hilltop Rd.

Hilltop Rd soon takes a 90° left turn but instead continue straight onto a dirt lane. Follow the lane and park behind the barn.
